Xray team driver and 2014 EFEA EC runner-up Martin Wollanka has added another victory to his already successful 2014 Season 2 campaign, outrunning Javan Candy from the UK by just 1.2 seconds after a 20 minute long fight. Wollanka looked to be cruising home with a 1 stop pitstop strategy but was forced to a splash and dash in the very last lap, bringing Candy right back on his tail. Backemeyer (US) drove a steady race to finish 3rd on the podium some 13 seconds down on the 2 leaders.

NITRO BUGGIES ROUND 4 AT RHEIN MAIN

Round 3 was held at the Rhein Main circuit, but this time in reversed direction. VRC Pro tracks have been optimized to allow them to be raced in both directions, and this race is proof of this concept. 2 Tracks in one!

SPORTS CLASS
For this round we decided to cover the SPORT A-Main because it was a great race to cover and to show you some other racers than the Wollanka's of VRC Pro.

The race was very much between Robert Hillman from Sweden, Christoph Dobetsberger and Andi Schari both from Austria. Hillman got off to a great start and took the lead in lap 3 never to give up that position. But in his mirrors were the 2 Austrian racers. It took Christoph till lap 13 to finally pass his fellow country racer. A late pitstop in lap 30 even got him into first place with just 4 laps to go but after he had also refueled he had to settle for 2nd place 2.7 sec. behind the leader from Sweden.

Report by Donald Stark (VRC race reporter)

Virtual RC vs Real RC
I would like to take a moment to give the positive and negative points of VRC and Real RC. First I will start with the positive.

Virtual RC
VRC is fun, racing online is quick a person can literally race anytime 24 hours a day 7 days a week. VRC Cars are perfectly tuned every time, they never have to be cleaned and when you crash the parts stay intact.

Real RC
Real RC Racing has many positives, there are great people at the track, track conditions are affected by weather and change throughout the day. Track food is always good everything tastes better with a little dirt in it. “Custom Painted Bodies.” Making new friends, and just getting out of the house sometimes is a great reason to go to the track.

Conclusion
Why bother with the negative, I’m sure everyone has their own list of negatives I will keep mine to myself. VRC is a perfect... read more
