2017 SEASON 1 1:8 SPORTCARS ROUND 2 Fort Myers
This serie started the season from Boss Speed circuit where French Kevin Rasguin took the win with 5 second margin ahead American Joshua Berman. Third podium was driven by another American Kevin Bacon, who was also 5 seconds behind Berman when race finished.
Fort Myers was hosting this second round race.
American double Worldchampion Joshua Berman was on his own level and was the fastest in every round and after a really impressive run, he won the final two laps ahead of the next. Just very convincing by Joshua!
Second in this 20 minutes final was Irish Austin Elliot. He was only two 10th`s slower in average than the race winner Berman, but these long finals gathers difference so hugely.
Kevin Bacon was one 10th slower in average than Elliot and had to settle for third place. Kevin made few mistakes during his run, and these solved second place for Elliot.

Few days after the thrilling 1:8 Sportscars Spec round 2, we come back here at Fort Myers Raceway, for the second round of the 1:8 Sportscars Championship. Remember, during the Spec round we have seen a spectacular fight in sport class between the American experienced driver Robert Yelle, and the french driver Jacques Blanchin, and in pro class between the « Superman » Jeffrey Rietveld and the young french driver Kevin Rasquin. Will it be the same this time in 1:8 sportscars ?
We were also waiting for some pilots that had animated the first round at Boss Speed, like Miquel Hereijqers, Simon Wood, in Pro Class, or Luke Allam in Sport Class, and Johann Jury in Club Class who won last time, but actually, they did not take part of this round.
Fortunately for the show, other great drivers are here today, like in Pro Class, Joshua Berman, Massimo Alliprandi, Alex Guillot, Nuno Correia for exemple. In Sport Class, Klaus Koewenig, who has made a hop... read more

Hi everybody, we are here at Fort Myers Raceway in Florida, where the sun is shinning, the surfers are riding the waves, and girls are so beautiful.
More seriously, it was the second round of the 1:8 nitro sportscars spec championship, where 61 racers came, representing 16 nations, which make each VRC race a real world event !
The track is very fast, but with sharp turns, and a difficult part in front of the rostrum, where you have to turn early before the corner if you want to be fast without touching the unforgiving metal barriers. In real life the club organize the Winternats, and in 2008 the Roar 1/10th scale fuel on-road.
Now let's have a look at the qualifications :
Club class : on 13 drivers, « Mugen MRX 5 » from Germany is first with 32 laps / 7.01.854. Carl Huxford from United Kingdom is second with 31 laps / 7.00.742, and Jodie Grein from USA is 3rd with 29 laps / 7.21.866.The seven other drivers of the t... read more

Well over 200 racers from all corners of the world gathered last week to race the NOTORIOUS virtual Winternats 2012 sponsored by RCTECH. With a 45 minute final, the unforgiving metal barriers of Ft. Myers promised an extremely exciting race... Here are the results:
