VRC PRO 2016 SEASON 3 1:8 NITRO BUGGY ROUND 6, Silver Dollar 3

This was season closer of 1:8 Nitro Buggy series. Sixth round was helded here in Silver Dollar 3 track, and it was driven in reversed direction.
American Warren Jones was setting the fastest pace during the qualifying. Warren`s average 30.833 was something enormous, when we saw that second place driver Jonas Larsson from Sweden, was almost 13 seconds behind him. But that wasnt bad run by Jonas, but that 31.731 average wasnt good enough to challenge Jones of the lead.
Third fastest, Britains Michael Lightfoot, had 16 seconds to TQ. Lightfoot`s run was stable, with just under 32 seconds average. Behind Lightfoot, only with 0.3 seconds distance was Mikael Yrjänäinen from Finland.
Another Finish driver, Ari Koski was in fifth and third Finn, Markku Honkanen in sixth place. Hong Kong`s Carson Yeung was also carried his season, and was in seventh position, when qualy ended. It was lookin... read more

SEASON 1 2016 SC TRUCKS 13.5T SPEC

PRO level

Swedish offroad talent Robert Hillman has wonned SC TRUCKS 13.5T SPEC series in SEASON 1. This 37 years old driver showed magnificent consistency and pace during the season. Brasilian Sandro Cabreira gave good pressure to Robert whole season, but finally Robert was bit stronger than Sandro. Robert wonned totally three races during the season. Cabreira and man in third place, Tony Dugan, they both wonned one race. Cabreira and Dugan were both in good ”mode” in all races, so we can only expect what will happend in next season. Congratulations to all three podium drivers!

Race Report by Larry Blair (VRC Pro Race Reporter and Pro Racer)

Round 2 for the spec e-buggy class was held at Silver Dollar 3 and the fast guys showed up once again to compete for the points lead. With the level of talent that lined up for these mains it was anybody's guess who would come out on top, but some familiar names keep on rising up to the front of the pack. After a total of 164 entries were finished qualifying, the mains were set and ready to go.


The pro A main started off with a battle to the start line between Dan Phillion, Robert Hillaman, Sandro Cabreira, and Jerome djay Delcourt. When these pros crossed the start/finish line on lap 1, Hillman was in the lead by 0.3 sec, Cabreira is in 2nd, and Delcourt is running 3rd. Delcourt makes a move on lap 2 to get around Cabreira and is only 0.8 sec behind Hillman. The 2016 Pro E-Buggy series made its 2nd stop at the beautiful facility at Silver dollar 3 and just as the facility is beautiful so was the lineup for the pro A main. Lots of big names would qualify for the final and racing all throughout the field would be very intense, especially between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. 1st through 5th finished with 22 laps while 6th through 9th finished with 21. In the end the top 3 would only finish 7 seconds apart. The points battle has begun for the season title!


Uwe De Zwart would put on a dominate performance from start to finish. He wasn't challenged much at all and when he did see a challenge, he overcame it with ease. Lap after lap the 14 year old phenom was able to distance himself and pull off super fast lap times and take the first place podium at the buzzer!
