The All-Inclusive memberships have been changed to a different status: All-Inclusive Content Licenses. As the membership is free the all-inclusive membership was about content only anyway.
Due to the ever decreasing revenues we were forced to reconsider our membership policy in order to keep the VRC platform up and running as long as possible. With the current revenue stream we are close to break even and it won't be long until the platform cannot sustain itself any longer. As you can imagine, even without new content developments there are high costs for hosting our servers, for maintaining them with regular updates to keep up with Microsoft and PayPal platform changes, and do weekly and monthly database clean-ups. Besides these direct costs we also have quite substantial administrative costs for running VRI.
Therefore we think it is reasonable to introduce a membership fee of around €3.00 a month in order to secure the future of the VRC platform. We will introduce this on a voluntary basis first, a mandatory membership fee has quite an impact on our structure and we try to avoid the high cost by offering it as a voluntary membership contribution. If after 6 months we don't have a solid basis of voluntary memberships (2000-3000) we will have to reconsider our position on this.
We hope that you understand that we need to take this measure to secure the continuation of the VRC services, and we count on your willingness to support our efforts now and in the future.
We hope and expect that the 24/7 availability of an online r/c racing platform like VRC is worth €3.00 a month to you...

What about working on a Offline version of VRC Pro? At least that way it would survive for many years more.
It's sad to think about but the Online version will soon come to an end!

Seems to be only about 1000 regular racers and of those how many pay?
Maybe worth sending everyone an email because I'm not sure if everyone even notices this news page?
And then try and email every R/C racer in the world and ask them what it would take to get them onto VRC Pro? (Maybe Schumacher, Associated, Traxxes. Mardave, Xray, Zen etc, can help put together such a list?

With enough support we can certainly delay that though Gary. I will make a yearly contribution like Simon when I have more funds at the end of the month.
