I think we have already many On-Road and Off-Road classes. Every class more takes the participants away from another class. This is in real RC Racing and in VRC the same.
I think Ingo means combining rally tracks and onroad tracks for same class...
need to experiment with it, tracks and cars are defined for on- or offroad and have to match for events.
Yes... Rally X with the existing tires...
But IF MIXED is not possible ...
6 Races ONroad
6 Races OFFroad
6 Races ONroad
and so on...

Concerning RallyX - is there even a chance in racing them in ONROAD events! Take a look to the Time trials where I have benchmarked a lot of them...
From my point of view it's great fun

can take a look at 'Rally' option with rubber tires similar to GT3... and slightly lowered suspension
From my point of view it is fun in the way it is!
Only 1 technical change would be useful for easier setup:
STEERING LESS than 23 - otherwise 23 and maximize to 75-80% on the transmitter works fine.
So new minimum about 18 would be useful ...
that's a quick change... less will not affect Rally-X
Have released the updated Rally X chassis with 18 degr. min. steering angle

RallyX is already On-Road but there are no events but only TimeTrials!
Alternating OnRoad-series with OffRoad-series enlarges things to the Onroad-guys and when alternating, maybe more participation on both types of track!
Alternative why not RallyX-series basing on for example 50% offroad-tracks and 50% asphalt-/carpet- tracks???
By the way: If you try to filter in the event page,
there cannot be found RallyX-events neither offroad nor onroad!
Edited by author: 22.6.2025 15:27:29 GMT
about the filtering, I see now. RallyX was not considered when this structure was designed 15 years ago, I added that class myself realizing that this new class would probably not fall into typical off-road class. Each car class is defined by a number of parameters, like on- and offroad, nitro/electric, 2wd and 4wd, scale and body style sportscar, sedan, buggy truggy etc.
I just looked at it and noticed that we also have 'mixed' for surface type, never used that as we have also rally. I have to experiment with 'mixed' option, perhaps it turns out to be on- and off-road. No idea... I can't really oversee how this surface type 'mixed' affects event selections, rankings, track records etc., that would require very deep testing and analysis on beta platform, but there are hardly any beta testers who are willing to spend their time on such matters...
