After registering for an mp event now becomes a 'participant'. The participant knows the time schedule, and like for a 'real' r/c event you have to show up in time to participate. In that respect mp events are completely different from regular VRC events where you have a time slot of 1 or more days to get your runs in for each round. MP events are time-restrained!
To go to your mp event you select the option 'MP EVENTS' from the main menu and select the MP event you registered for. Automatically the current round shows up with the planned sessions. In this example the Quarter Final round which has 4 mp sessions. Each session has a time slot set by the mp event organizer (MPEO). To cope with unforeseen circumstances the MPEO can adjust the time schedule and will communicate any changes directly with all the participants in that round.
Semi-final A is planned to take place between 20:00 and 20:25 with probably 3 'races' of 5 minutes. The best of these 3 'races' (in normal event mode these are called tries or runs) will count as your round result. If the next round, in this example the Main Final, has just 10 racers your result must qualify in the top-10 to race the Main Final.
The start positions in the first race are determined by your ranking in the previous round. For the 2nd race the finishing position in the first race will be used. In the 3rd race the intermediate standing in this session will be used. This should give a fair starting grid according how you are performing in the session!
The racers for Semi-final A will see their names listed incl. the starting grid order, and their ping values are displayed. The MPEO decides when the session starts by clicking on the 'create mp session' button (only available to the MPEO. The button 'join session' is displayed for the participants. Clicking on it will move the participant to the track. Of course the participant should have the track and the chassis with the setup he wants to use, pre-selected. Once on the track the participant cannot leave the session and then return to the session.
