2017 SEASON 1 1:10 SC TRUCKS 13.5T ROUND 8 Barco

Brand new, just released Barco offroad track was hosting and season closer of 8th and last round of Short Course 13.5 serie.
This track had very warm wellcome from drivers, as it was released. And, no doubt, this is one great achivements from VRC PRO head designer Tony West. For onroader, this track is also guite driveable, roughness is very smooth but adds reality very nicely. Just great job from VRC PRO officials.

PRO level

Marshall Kirkholm and Ilari Lamminsivu were in mainroles when winner of PRO level race was solved. Lamminsivu had secured his first grid for the final with 12 seconds gap before Kirkholm. Carson Yeung drove to third grid, 11 seconds slower than Kirkholm.
So, according the semifinal, it was expected that Lamminsivu was huge favourite to take this one. Kirkholm started very furiosly and was right on Lammisivu`s tail after first lap and seemed that Marshall had founded perfect rhytm to this new track. Lamminsivu leaded the pack, but he wasnt in perfect rhytm. He made three bigger mistake during his run, and these mistakes allowed Kirkholm to stay in close range. Lamminsivu had better pace, but Kirkholm was more consistent, but bit slower. Heading for last lap, Lamminsivu had over 5 seconds gap to Kirkholm in second place and it looked that win is going to Lamminsivu. Lamminsivu got more heartbeats, as he made his last mistake on last lap but 5 seconds gap was enough to secure his win in here. At finishline, gap was only 2 seconds when the crossed the line. Lamminsivu first and Kirkholm second.
Hong Kong`s "laprobot" Carson Yeung had pretty boring race, distance to forward and back was same 11.5 seconds. But it was great achivement from Carson, third place in this new track was better than nothing. Great driving Carson!

SPORT level

US driver Joe Killam was furios in SPORT level. He won this race with 13 seconds gap before another US driver Gary Crowell. Crowell instead had to make very hard, precise work to secure his second place. He had great battle against Ukranian driver Andy Garcia. Garcia was in second place with half second distance front of Crowell, when they went to last lap. Crowell was 1.3 seconds faster in last lap and this secured his second place. Garcia had to settle to third, by 0.8 seconds gap to Crowell.

CLUB level

Two drivers were separated from others when CLUB level winner was solved. Spaniard Dani Tortuga and Czech Erik Margony were in own pace, they drove totally 12 laps during this main final. Tortuga crossed the line in first place, over 5 seconds before Margony.
From the third place, we saw very close battle, as US driver Manuel Weber and Isla Pesca from Japan gave good entertainment for spectators. At the end Weber was bit stronger, with tiny 0.035 distance ahead of Pesca.
