Take a lower gear / ritzel or upgrade to a higher engine.

And I would like to explain just in case, that "lower gear" is a pinion with less tooth ex. if you are using a 36 pinion this will give you great top speed but also a lot of overheating (of course always depend from the track) so start with a 26 or a 28 pinion and go higher until you ll see the highest that you can go for the specific track without overheat for the all 5 min. race (the big gear size is for fine tuning) also have in mind that drag brake makes the problem worse.
And by Frank saying higher engine means a motor with more "T" turns of wire windings around each of the motor's rotor poles ex. 5,5 but usually you use those in shorter tracks because the have less top speed but better acceleration and they tend to overheat even more in long straights.
