When having off power oversteer with electric cars added: 28.06.2011

Category: Car setup     Views: 1882     Rating:

When you slide around when coming off the power and entering a turn (oversteer) try setting your throttle trim a little higher so the car will move under its own power without throttle. This way the car won't brake (or at least not as hard) with its engine.
This method is called creep.

The two most effective ways at the moment to improve this aspect of the handling are to increase the rear diff locking % or to increase the front anti-rollbar stiffness (or decrease the rear).

Both will affect the on-throttle behavior too, so don't go too far with any adjustment all at once.

True, but I found it quite handy to get to grips with an electro on carpet (never done this before vrc pro). Now I just never ever completely release the throttle which has sort of the same effect and seems to keep the car a little more stable.

Not that good this idea, because you will always make a false start ;-)

If you habe no initial or drag brake set up the motor shouldn't block the tyres that much so that the car oversteers. This usually can be set in the esc's.

I guess then you should optimize your chassis setup a little.
