I simply do not understand (because electric 1:10 is ok).
1:10 Nitro car is unusable. Basic setup also. Car does not respond to changes, and remains a pain in the a**. This is not a model car. I would give up RC racing 10 years ago if real rc cars were like this.

I really respect your opinion, but I wrote this post because I really did mean it. Maybe I was a bit upset, but 1:10 nitro still sucks.
Previously, I've trained with VRC 3.x for years, and that was far better than this.
In 4.x development they focused on the electric class, and that's really great.
When you try to be fast, it's mostly about consistency. If you can really closely follow an 'ideal' racing line consistently for hundreds of laps, you'll probably become world champion.
Real problems come when you're at 90-95% level. This is when you begin to be really fast, driving a only few millimeters from the curbs, lap by lap. At 75-80%, it's OK in most cases to drive on another line, 20cm away from last lap's line, because you're not that close to the limit.
When you're at 95% level and miss the line by 10 cms, you'll most likely hit the curb and fly away.
And this car generally has a shakiness that makes almost impossible to drive it precisely and consistently, that's what I really ment.

best regards

I struggled to begin with but found I was driving it wrong. I was actually trying to go too slow and there was way too much steering. As soon as I stated to punch it, the push really helped and made the car so predictable and handled well. This gives the best of both worlds where you have string if needed. First time I drove this way in the recent worlds race I hit 75% of the track record.

Of course this is just my experience so may not be the same. I've only been racing in the real world for 6 months... Not that experienced
