How to save a replays with multiple cars and practice against them
added: 13.02.2016
Not sure if people are aware of this feature, but it's pretty cool.
Normally replays only let you save one car to race against, but here's how you can save multiple cars in a replay:
Either;
a) Select "Save Replay" in the results screen of a multiplayer race.
Or;
b) Watch an event, let it play to the end, and then select "Save". You can select up to 9 drivers from any heat to watch and save in the same replay.
Next;
Load up the replay you saved in the "Replay" screen, and choose "Race with" and "Loop" under the replay settings.
Advantages:
- Unlike most replays in "Replay" mode, this method gives you multiple opponents, including yourself if you want.
- Unlike the "Event" mode which only plays the race once and then pauses, these replays can be looped.
- Unlike "Practice" mode, you don't have to wait for VRC to create opponents (they haven't made any in a long time, so most new tracks are empty).
Disadvantage:
- You can't grid up and race in a proper race mode (with scoring, etc.) like you can with "Practice" opponents. You have to just pretend. (Hopefully VRC will fix this).
