Hi Paul,
Have you tried switching off the v-sync in graphics options?
Before I did this I couldn't use the Buenos Aires track even with the anti-aliasing disabled because the FPS would go down to below 30 on the far side of the circuit but I switched off the v-sync and now i'm able to have the AA back on 4x for really concise graphics. Hope this helps.
BTW does anyone know what v-sync actually does?
