Our event for this week at Neo 2 finished with some great racing and nice track conditions... no sun tan lotion necessary.

Spec this week saw only the 3rd spot change after qualifying. Ryan Mckay maintained 2nd and Stanislav managed to squeeze past John Hollestelle to take the 3rd finishing position. After John's mistake on lap 3 Stanislav made the pass and never looked back. Michel Lamesse had a very consistent race, every lap in the 31s except for a 30.8 fast lap, well done! I also saw Mckay over talking to the judges for a long long time appealing his 1st spec attempt where he jumped the line and his transponder missed a lap!

Mod saw Adriano Picerno jump from 6th to just miss 17 laps and the podium to finish 4th overall. Otherwise 1,2,3 didn't budge as Ryan took 2nd again followed by Frank Modica in 3rd. Ottawa locals Dave Walker and Kevin McEwen swapped spots on the overall finish as McEwen tried a last lap pass with his fast lap running through the finish line (he is still picking up the parts LOL)... read more

We challenged, we raced and we cried. C-Netic is a large (did I say large!!) outdoor track that has many potential racing lines. I took the more conservative route and produced similar lap times to my past races, proving once again that fast laps are found in the corners and not on the straight!
Spec requires precise throttle control for this track as your car spends a lot of time in the air. I took TQ and the win with Ryan Mckay keeping his 2nd spot and Stanislav moving up to grab that final podium position with a marshal free run.
Top 3 stayed the same this week for mod with the finishing order being myself, Ryan Mckay and Frank Modica. The race for 2nd was very close as Frank had the victory in his grasp with a 3.5 second lead with 3 laps to go. Unfortunately he saw that lead whittle away and finally disappear on the last lap, heart breaker!
This week we go back indoors to Neo 2, a close to 1/10 size clay track that actually mimics my home track the most in VRC (well Neo 2 and Neo 3). I have posted a r... read more
