2017 SEASON 2 1:10 NITRO SEDANS SPEC ROUND 2 Halifax

PRO level

Round 2 of 1:10 nitro sedans spec serie was raced at Halifax circuit. PRO level, UK`s Graham Raistrick was fastest, taking the pole with 1.8 gap before second fastest, Italian Massimiliano Tanturri. Nuno Lourenco from Portugal took third grid, he was 3 seconds behind pole winner.
Slovenian Izidor Tratnik was fourth fastest, only one second slower than Lourenco at third grid.
So, by these results it was expected the mainfinal to be very exiting.

As the main grid was arranged, TQ driver Raistrick was missing. But we had great drivers at the grid, Tanturri with consistent run would be favourite to take this one. After few laps Tratnik who had started from fourth grid, showed some great pace. Slovenian was hitting almost consistently under 19s laps and nobody couldnt answer this. With this pace, win was going clearly to Izidor.
After 38 laps Tratnik had over 4 seconds gap to Tanturri in second place, he came to backstraight corner and flipped his car and Tanturri got closer. Now gap had decreased to 2 seconds. But Tratnik`s day came even darker at lap 41, when he cutted corner two and roll over his car. By this, Tanturri got the lead. From this point, even Tratnik had the fastest pace, he couldnt pass Tanturri anymore and Massimiliano crossed the finishline 0.3s before Tratnik. Nuno Lourenco came to third place, he had to make full dayjob to keep Czech Milan Peka behind. Great battle also from these two.

Tratnik(green) had the pace, but his few mistakes ruined his chances

SPORT level

Russian driver Valerie Kornilov took the in SPORT level. He had the pace, with average 19.962 he won this race with 5 second margin before Australian Steve Young. Steve was in stable second place whole final, even Japanese driver Isla Pesca was pushing all the time. Finally Pesca had to settle to third place, 3 seconds behind Young.
