Rally X2 track was hosting last race and season closer of RallyX spec serie. Drivers had found the way to tackle those demanding elevated curves and this looked good.
PRO level
In PRO level, Finnish Ilari Lamminsivu seemed to set the pace to others after two rounds and managed to get the pole for the main. Hong Kong`s laprobot Carson Yeung was standing at second place after semifinal, 10 seconds behind TQ driver. American Ely Rojas in third grid was tough opponent in here, as we knew that he was holding lap record almost every class at this track. So, was it ”hiding the speed” from Ely, main would give us an answer.
As the tone shouted for main, Rojas took lighting start and got the lead. But he made early mistake at lap 4 and dropped back of the pack. Lamminsivu and Yeung fighted at lead and Rojas start his furios way t... read more

SEASON 1 2017 RALLY X SPEC ROUND 5 Mach Rally X
Fifth round of Rally X spec serie was held at Mach Rally X track. American Ely Rojas was on fire from the start of this event. At qualifying his average was 24.866 and compared to others, Ely was on his own pace. Carson Yeung was second, over 8 second behind Rojas and Robert Hillman third, 6 seconds from Yeung.
Going for semifinal round, things were tighter. Yeung had raised his pace and was standing at second place, only 2.2 seconds behind Rojas. Rojas had average 25.1 and Yeung 25.2.
American Marshall Kirkholm earned third and Swede Robert Hillman fourth grid. Kirkholm had 12 and Hillman 14 seconds to TQ winner Rojas.
Things were looking promising for the main final, and we could only hope that Yeung at second grid had founded something for the final round. Yeung had the pace to challenge Rojas.

SEASON 1 2017 RALLY X SPEC ROUND 4 X2
VRC PRO had released new X2 track and this stage was hosting 4th round of RallyX serie.
This track has pretty easy 180 corners but very tricky two sloped corners, where you have to be very precise with speed and braking. Who handles those corners perfectly, was favourite to take this round.
American Ely Rojas increased his pace during this event and took convincing win. Despite his 5 second mistake at lap 11, with average 25.7, there was no challengers for him.
Swedish Robert Hillman was closest behind Rojas, he was most consistent of top3. But with average 25.9, he had to settle to second place.
Carson Yeung got third place, over 9 seconds behind winner.

SEASON 1 2017 RALLY X SPEC ROUND 3 Messina X
Third round of Rally X spec series was helded at Messina X track. First and second race winners Tommi Vacklin and Ely Rojas didnt participate to this event, but we had lot of drivers to get this just released track tested in race conditions.
Ok, all had some difficulties with big jump at backstraight and it was such a place that you had to be consistently precise and careful with that one, if you wanted to be at podium.
At qualifying round Huhtala was setting the pace to others and left second place driver Carson Yeung, 3.8 seconds behind. Third and fourth fastest was Sandro Cabreira and Robert Hillman.
Yeung, Cabreira and Hillman were all with very identical distance to the leader.
Huhtala was luckiest in PRO level

SEASON 1 2017 RALLY X SPEC, ROUND 1 Mach Rally X
Season opener and very first Rally X Spec series started from Mach Rally X track. This track gives tricky mixture of jumps, gravel and asphalt.
Finnish SC Worldchampion 2016 Tommi Vacklin showed no mercy as he participated to this season opener. This 24 years old offroader was in fantastic shape, and his average 24.8 was four 10th`s faster than second place driver, Robert Hillman.
Hillman, like many others, had his troubles at backstraight jump. That "tablejump" gave lot of grey hair to many driver, as you had to set your timing and speed very perfectly when coming to the jump.
Italian Tommaso Andreuccetti drove to third podium place. Tommaso had consistent and clear run, but he didnt have enough pace to challenge those two at front. All in all, very nice final!
Opening round winner, Tommi Va... read more
