Where were you for the final race JP? Iwas looking forward to a good battle. ALL I had to do to get the title was beat Jimmy ON AN OVAL!!!! I am very chuffed...this doesn't happen often. Think that the overheating thing benefitted my style of driving. If I had hit anything I think my car would have gone. If Jimmy had beat me (which I thought he would) me and you would have shared the title...I think that woyld have been a fairer result. You have been awesome on the none oval tracks.
Have a good Christmas everyone.
Graham Raistrick (pronounced race trick by the way) hee hee. ;-)

SEASON 2016 electric nascartruck modified, round 12, Keitune Oval

TIMED PRACTICE

Season last race and closer of electric nascartruck series was helded here at Keitune Oval. Everybody was pointing to American Jimmy Flack, when some expectations were asked of race winner. OK, it was obvious that Jimmy was man to watch out in here, so fantastic his results are also from ovals. But in timed practice, Italian talent Andrea Giordano showed magnificent pace and left Flack to second position, with five seconds margin. As allways, it was so early stage of the event and nothing had solved yet. Everybody was looking those settings and getting miliar with the track. Third fastest in this not mandatory, starting round, was Austrian Alexander Dunkl. He was in good speed, as his gap to Flack was only 3.8 seconds.

QUALIFYING

In this round Giordano and Flack were missing, and didnt make the result. By this, Dunkl took his own and carry on his... read more

Once again, another Italian, Tommaso Andreuccetti was at top speed. With average 19.967 he got 5th fastest run. Not faraway, only 2.7 seconds behind Andreuccetti, was Hong Kong`s Carson Yeung. TIMED PRACTICE

In timed practice Swedish Andre Fossto and French Delcourt were setting the pace to others. Giordano from Italy, who was third in this round, were almost 8 seconds behind the leader. So it was looking two mans deal, if others wouldnt get any more pace.

QUALIFYING

Also in this round, Fossto and Delcourt were on fire. Very similar pace they were almost 7 seconds faster than Giordano in third place. Giordano had lifted his pace a little, but it was still too much.

TIMED PRACTICE

In timed practice, comparing to earlier events, nothing spectacular happened.
Once again, Italian talent Andrea Giordano was the furiost and was setting the pace to others.
Switzerlands Patrick Bader was closest to Giordano, but almost five seconds behind.
Behind Bader, was another Italian laprobot, Tommaso Andreuccetti. Andreuccetti had good run and was only 1.5 seconds slower than Bader. Fourth fastest, Finlands Jukka-Pekka Huhtala was in pretty same pace as Andreuccetti, only 0.1seconds behind. Fifth place went Switzerland Philippe Gross, difference to leader 8,6 seconds.
So, Giordano had came here with very aggressive style and good setup. With his average, he was allready in this point, one top candidates to take this event.

TIMED PRACTICE

Starting round of this event, three drivers were separated from others with their own laps. Two Italians, Giordano and Andreuccetti and Huhtala from Finland hitted 18 laps, all inside 2.5 seconds.
Fourth fastest driver was Dunkl from Austria, having 12 seconds gap to the leader Giordano. Philippe Gross from Switzerland and Steve Pitts from USA got fifth and sixth place from this round. Dunkl, Gross and Pitts were really close each other, all inside 2 seconds.
But it was expected, that next round would show us, how tight that top would be. Many drivers left this round without driving, cause it was not mandatory.
Like in earlier races, everybody was just getting miliar with the track, as it had very tricky corners and alltitude difference 3 meters.

2016 Season 1 and round 7, Oslo

Oslo was very first VRC V3 track. A short fast track with a few tricky corners to get right, especially the end of the backstraight.

TIMED PRACTICE

In timed practice it looked that Canadian driver Robert Woloschuk and Finland`s J-P.Huhtala was setting the pace to others. But finally Italian talent, Andrea Giordano beated those two with two seconds margin. Andrea`s average laptime was 14.879, and this gave a little direction to others what pace should be, if you wanted to be on top. Huhtala`s and Woloschuk`s average was one 10th slower. Fourth fastest in this round was Philippe Gross from Switzerland. Philippe was eight seconds behind Giordano, and average was over 0.4 secods slower than Giordano`s. 2016 Season 1 and round 5, Carpet 2

Fifth round of Electric Nascartruck series was helded here at Carpet 2 track. As the track is puplic to all racers, and most drivers knewed driving style to this track, we expected that this was going to be tough battle of podium places.

At qualifying Britains Graham Raistrick had started this event. And no wonder, he was immediatly at top spot when round ended. He was only driver who got to that 29lap. Remarkable pace!
