After 6 qualifying runs at the (real) 1:12 Euro's in Oulu Finland , VRC Pro ace 1:12 racer Helge Johannessen from Norway has scored a remarkable result: the difference between his real and virtual result happens to be just 0.002 seconds! How close can it get... This is Helge's first international race. VRC Pro gave him a few days of extra practice time as the virtual Oulu indoor track was released a week before the Euro's. Helge has qualified in 10th position and will make the Euro 1:12 modified class A-Main, just like he made the A-Main at the Virtual Euro's. In Oulu he has just European pro-level 1:12 racers in front of him, not bad for a first international appearance. VRC Pro racing experience does help...
In 10.5T Stock class the scores are equally remarkably close. Miika Laurila, the 2012 VRC World Champion in this class scored 39 in 8:04.920 in the Virtual Euro's, his qualifying time in Oulu is 39 laps in 8:04.846, again just 0.12 seconds difference! Miika goes into the A-Main in third position behind the hot favorite in this class Markus Mobers from Germany and Vesa Yli, 'Mr. V-Dezign'.

Had the pace for win in stock but messed up with my driving... Really disappoint :(
EDIT: in true finnish style i'll fill up the blank space with some liquour. hopefully i can do the virtual final soon so i wont disappoint others too

Heads up Miika. You did a good job and prove that you are "one to watch". Your laptimes were pretty fast. There will be other races! Did you drive a Carpet Ripper or an XRAY?
Of course I ran Carpet Ripper :)

Go for the title Miika!!! And well done Helge, i´m really impressed that you get in the A-Main!
One question to both of you: Do you think that you had an advantage at the begin of the event because you already know the layout and get a feeling for the track from the training with VRC?
