2017 SEASON 2 1:10 ELECTRIC TC SPEC 13.5 ROUND 6 MB Models

PRO level

Michitaka Yanagisawa was the fastest in qualifying round in this season closer race. Japanese talent drove very fast, consistent run and with 12.103 average, he left French talent Xavier Deparde 1.3 seconds behind. Behind Deparde, in third place was Dana Bailes. Bailes had 12.193 average and was 2.2 seconds away from fastest pace. Christoph Löb was fourth fastest, he was over 5 seconds behind Yanagisawa.

As the race started, our TQ Yanagisawa wasnt at the grid. But we had supertalents to give us a good exiting race. From the tone Bailes was in the great rhythm. He wasnt overwhelming but was driving really good laps and managed to stay away from fences. Behind him, Löb, Deparde, Haling and Saputra were fighting of the second place. After few laps, Bailes was still leading and Deparde and Haling were behind in his tail. These three had pretty same pace and this was exiting to watch. Bailes was few 10th`s away from Deparde and Haling. Löb was in fourth place, under second distance from Deparde and Haling. After two minutes of driving, Deparde started to show his true pace and was gaining Bailes at the lead. Haling was in third place, but hadnt lost his pace, he was also really close range behind Deparde. But in lap 9, Haling dropped to fifth place behind Yeung, as he overcutted the corner under rostroom. Now Yeung had lifted to 4th place.

PRO level season Champion Dana Bailes

Bailes was in the lead and Deparde was pressuring him 0.4 seconds behind. These two had separated from the pack and had two seconds get away from Löb in third spot. At lap 11 we saw two ”overcuts” from Deparde and Löb. Löb done his mistake under the rostroom and Deparde overcutted the corner 10. Both, Deparde and Löb were lucky, as they hold their positions because they had so much gap to behind. Few laps later, at lap 13, our leader Bailes got extra heart beats as he overcutted corner 8 and collided towards the fence. But Dana also had so much gap to behind, that he continued his race in the lead. But those extra seconds for Bailes, gave some opportunity to Deparde in second place, as he was now only 0.6 seconds behind Bailes. But immediatly in 14th lap, Deparde missed his chances as he collided with the fence before mainstraight.
Bailes run in the lead was looking promising for the win, as the others had more struggles and now Dana had almost two seconds lead.
Löb was in second and Yeung in third position. Our TQ driver Deparde seemed to drive under dark clouds, as he overcutted rostroom corner at lap 16 and his great chase was ruined by this mistake.
Heading to last minute, Bailes was still at the lead, Löb was in second place, over two seconds behind. Haling and Yeung were fighting of the third place and this figth also ended after few laps. Haling was stronger and took the third place. Deparde was in fifth position and was closing really fast Yeung and Haling in fourth and third position.
Only ten seconds was remaining at the race clock, one lap to go and Haling in third place made his crucial mistake. He overcutted the corner, and dropped from third to fifth place. At start of the last lap Deparde had gained Yeung in fourth place and also passed him. Bailes had leaded this group all the time, and it was well deserved victory for Dana, as he crossed the line in first place. Just great drive from Dana!
Christoph Löb was second, 3 seconds behind Bailes. Christoph had the pace to challenge Dana in the lead but he was one 10th slower and this was enough for Bailes.
Xavier Deparde who had some lack of rhytm, manage to ”save the game” and crossed the line in third place, 4.2 seconds behind winner. Daan Haling was finally fourth, despite his mistake, he managed to overtake Yeung in the last lap as Yeung made a mistake on last corners.
All in all, very enjoyable and exiting race, no doubt. Thanks Guys!

SPORT level

Patrik Buhlmann and Isla Pesca solve the SPORT level victory. These two had really intence fight, and pace was totally same but Pesca`s mistake at lap 3, turn out to be crucial. After this mistake, gap was 2.5 seconds for Buhlmann. But Pesca drove very consistent final and when they crossed the finishline, gap was only 0.2 seconds. By this one mistake Buhlmann managed to hold first place.
Third was Somdej Tumrongrajniti. Somdej was holding second place 8 laps after Pesca`s mistake, but Pesca`s pace was just too much for him and he had to settle to third place, 0.9 seconds behind Pesca.

Patrik Buhlmann won the SPORT level

CLUB level

Slash Kwong and Cristos Katsigiannis solve the CLUB level race win. Kwong had more pace, but Katsigiannis was more consistent. Heading for last lap, gap was almost 5 seconds, Kwong in the lead and Katsigiannis in second place. Kwong made mistake in the last lap, but he had enough margin to Katsigiannis and he managed to cross the finishline 1.7 seconds ahead of Katsigiannis.
Michael Zappa was third, 12 seconds away from winners pace.

Kwong and Katsigiannis had great fight
