Just 3 months after the WC took place, VRC releases the Silver Dollar IFMAR WC '13 layout. A testing track for short course trucks and 1;8 buggies. A track with a great flow but yet technical enough to separate the men from the boys...

Situated on the famous Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, A Main Hobbies’ Silver Dollar R/C Raceway was built to be the ultimate outdoor off-road R/C racing venue and just successfully completed the 2013 IFMAR Electric Off-Road World Championships. Each part of the facility was designed with both the racer and spectator in mind, with a comfortable pit area and bleacher seating for race fans.

SEASON 1 2017 1:8 NITRO BUGGIES SPEC ROUND 1 Silver Dollar 2

Harry Schnarkowski from Germany was the strongest at opening round of nitrobuggy spec race at Silver Dollar 2 track. This 55 years old German offroader was consistent and fast and he had no bigger problems and mistakes during his run, made perfect exit from the grid and these secured his win. Swedish talent Robert Hillman had some problems to find his rhytm in opening laps, and he battled against two Italians, Giordano and Andreuccetti. After five laps Hillman got his rhytm and was hitting very same laps with Schnarkowski but finally Robert had to settle to second place. Giordano and Andreuccetti were those who solved last podium place. In this battle double Worldchampion Giordano was bit stronger, and crossed the line in third place.

Harry Schnarkowski won opening round

In SPORT level French Gaetan Anger didnt gave any mercy to his fellow competitors, his pace was magnificent and he was over 11 seconds faster than Italian Emanuele Sartori. So, Anger took first place, Sartori was second and over 3 seconds behind Sartori was Swedish Jonas Lindeborg. Actually, Lindeborg had enough pace to get that second place, but something weird happend to his pace after refueling. After that refuel he was three seconds ahead of Sartori in second place, but his lack of rhytm let Sartori close the gap and also pass him. Sartori was more consistent in last laps and Lindeborg had to settle to third place.

In CLUB level Marko Laitinen from Finland gave total knock-out to others. His pace was enough to challenge and also win SPORT level race. At finishline he was 15 seconds ahead of Daniele Berni from Italy. Berni who got that second place, had also guite stable run as third podium driver, Jocke Jogedal from Sweden was almost 6 seconds behind him when race ended.
