LRP Masters track in Eppelheim Germany, 2007 layout. This typical electric track has barriers and dots to mark the track which makes this track very demanding. It takes a lot of practice to go fast here and be consistent. The ideal practice track for the die-hard electric racer to stay in shape for the big events.

2016 1:10 ELECTRIC NASCAR TRUCKS ROUND 10 Eppelheim 1

17.10.2016 Video: A-final  B-final

Report by J-P.Huhtala (VRC race reporter)

SEASON 2016 electric nascartruck modified, round 10, Eppelheim 1

TIMED PRACTICE

In timed practice Swedish Andre Fossto and French Delcourt were setting the pace to others. Giordano from Italy, who was third in this round, were almost 8 seconds behind the leader. So it was looking two mans deal, if others wouldnt get any more pace.
Huhtala from Finland was fourth in this ”not mandatory round”, one second behind Giordano in third place. Fifth fastest was Carson Yeung from Hong Kong, almost 12 seconds behind leader.

QUALIFYING

Also in this round, Fossto and Delcourt were on fire. Very similar pace they were almost 7 seconds faster than Giordano in third place. Giordano had lifted his pace a little, but it was still too much.
Carson Yeung was holding fourth place and Czech Milan Peka fifth place. Yeungs gap was 11 seconds and Peka`s 17 seconds to the leader. Sixth place went to Steve Pitts from USA, Pitts was only 0.3 seconds behind Peka fifth place.

BUMP UP

Bumpup round didnt show any miracles, as Fossto was still setting the pace to others. With 13.143 average, he was favourite to take this event.
Britains Graham Raistrick had made ”comeback”, and was immediatly in superfast mode, 2.4 seconds behind Fossto`s TQ pace. When Yeung, Delcourt and Giordano had stopped this event, Huhtala got third place. But his pace were not good, if he wanted to challenge those two at front. Almost 10 seconds gap to Fossto was just too much. Fourth place went to Steve Pitts from USA.
He was 7 seconds behind Huhtala in third place, so Steve had to find something for the final, if he wanted to be on that last podium place. Fifth place driver, Milan Peka from Czech, was driving pretty similar average with Pitts and it was waited, that these two would battle of that fourth place.
Sixth place went to French Olivier Beining, he was 3 seconds behind Peka in fifth place.

RACE

Fossto and Raistrick were favourites to take this event, so remarkable pace they showed at bumpup.
But it was one mans show, Fossto totally crushed others at Final. His average 13.260 was just too fast to others, he had one lap margin to second place driver Raistrick.
Fossto was very precise, consistent and truly fast. And yes, there was few hungry cuttings in his driving but he managed to survive of few "bumps" with great skills. 14 seconds margin to Raistrick, was something what tells how fast he was, unbeliavable!

Fossto was in own level, with his enormouss pace he totally crushed others.

Huhtala crossed the finishline in third and Gross from Switzerland in fourth position. Philippe Gross fighted of that fourth position with Billy Yeung and Milan Peka. It was really intence battle between these three drivers. When time was expired, they crossed the finishline inside 0.6 seconds. Yeung got fifth and Peka sixth position. Great driving guys!!

Raistrick and Huhtala had lot of mistakes, Graham was over 7seconds faster than Huhtala.

Seventh who crossed the line, was Tommaso Andreuccetti from Italy. Tommaso has crowned in this class and once again he was at A-main. We can only wait, how fast he will be in future races and he will be one of those, who will be challenging all leaders. In this event Tommaso would needed little more pace to challenge guys at front. Ok, this was very tough track, wasnt easy to anyone. So, very good result from Tommaso also.

Peka, Yeung and Gross had great battle of fourth place. Finally Gross(white/blue) was the strongest.

In B-main Alexander Dunkl was setting the pace. B-Final also showed how difficult this track was, you had to be very precise and in very good rhytm to get it right. Dunkl won this final with very same style like Fossto wonned the A-main. Alexanders margin to second place, Alejandro Prieto from Spain, was 13 seconds. So, it was very powerful driving from Dunkl.
Third place went to Emanuel Riplinger from Germany. Emanuel`s gap to second place was 5 seconds.

Posted by: Philippe Gross (CH) on 18.10.2016 19:34:13 (UTC) Cool report. The fight for the 4th place was hard for 10 minutes. I think I was the most consistent in the Final, was hard on this track. But I choose to run a 7.5T motor just to have the car all time in control. I also choose a white Body because of the blue carpet, I'm getting older...
Thanks Philippe. Ive noticed same "vision lost" when i fill up 40 :). They say that its "age vision", your eyes wont sharpen so fast as younger age. Of course, blue body at this track isnt wise call.

Ivé also noticed this loss of vision. But i am only 26. i have a really hard time 10 minutes on the PC. even 2 minutes is hard some days :(

Thank guys aboout compliments, like earlier, these are made for you. Guite easy thing, as im writing during the event, round by round. By this way, it doesnt come so heavy.

To Andre, its looking promising, electric "instrument" is doing good. Just have to find perfect program. Maybe its going to be tough to find, but we will get there.

Tommaso, that is great result with that amount of driving here. It isnt the easiest track, those "dots" are really sensitive. Great job, keep it going!
