2 Weeks to go until the 2015 VRC Worlds season kicks of with the Spec classes.

From the polls we have learned that the racers favor to race on a brand new track for the Worlds to have equal chances for everyone. Also Spec and Open Class to be raced in the same direction, and only Spec classes with separate driver classes Pro, Sport and Club.

We can now announce that all official 2015 VRC Worlds will be raced on brand new tracks:
1:8 nitro and electric off-road on C-Netic, Indonesia
1:10 short course trucks on A-Main Outback, USA
1:8 and 1:10 nitro on-road on Sydney, Australia
1:10 and 1:12 electric on-road on VRC Carpet 4 designed by Ronald Volker

For the first time we will also host VRC Worlds for Nascar trucks on the following oval tracks:
1:8 nitro Nascar trucks on Lostallo Oval, Switzerland
1:10 electric and nitro Nascar trucks at Osaka Oval, Japan

In total there will be 18 VRC World Championships going on starting November 28 and ending January 3rd.

Free tracks
For the period of the VRC Worlds the tracks will be made free so everyone can join the VRC Worlds in Spec class as the Spec cars are free to free2play members already.

David Ronnefalk, official Hot Bodies works driver, multiple international off-road champion and VRC off-road consultant, has announced to be participating in the 1:8 nitro and electric Open class Worlds. So be prepared to race with one of the best off-road racers in the world!

Thanks Pieter. Philippe got some information about this mistake yesterday, I wanted to believe him but waited your answer...

Posted by: Pieter Bervoets (NL) on 25.11.2015 13:57:27 (UTC) I have changed the direction for 1:12 electric sportscars Worlds to the official direction on VRC Carpet 4, so it is now the same direction as 1:10 electric ISTC.
Hello Pieter What about Sydney nitrospec 1:10, is this true that timed practice is official direction and qualify and finals are reversed? Thanks, Jupe

oops... has been corrected, all rounds are NORMAL direction!

Electreic world 1/8 buggy, where do i watch that? is that a real thing? all i know about 1/8 electric buggy is 10 min races in real life.

By "real world runtimes" I mean real life. You're right, there's no 1:8 ebuggy WC yet.
I'm not sure why most races are still 10 min, since the big 6500 mah batteries last much longer. But for a 10 min race you can use a lighter 4200 mah battery, and have enough extra for warm up laps, final lap, etc.
200-300 mah/min is typical for these cars. Lots of info out there and anyone with experience knows this too. I see it on my car.

its mixed, offical in practice and reverse in quali and finals!

Posted by: Pieter Bervoets (NL) on 25.11.2015 16:37:46 (UTC) The 2S LiPo 14.8V battery packs for the e-buggy have been updated to fix the runtime issue. Pls. provide feedback if the runtime is now more realistic to real life usage. Thanks.
Thanks Peter. For me the 6500 mah pack lasts around 13-14 min now on a medium speed track, which is better. But I think it needs another 50% more runtime to be realistic.

I will see if we can add another 30-40% of runtime before the e-buggy Worlds starts.
