A bunch of time can be gained in the pits! It takes a little practice, and you will mess it up from time to time.

Entering the pits needs to be wide open. Slam the truck into the pit wall and hit the brakes hard. If you don't get against the wall you will spin out with that much brakes. At the last second before you stop turn the wheel to the left so that you are not touching the wall. This will let you have a clean launch out of the pits. Leaving pits you want to be wide open before it let's you down. Then on exit, be as close to the corner dots on pit exit as you can get, then stay low through turn 1 and 2.

Practice makes perfect, you should be under 11.5 on the pit lap. 11.3 is really good.

The wall really isn't to slow the truck or car but to keep it from spinning out.

Hitting the pit wall to slow down, I love the creativity to save time, specially as I don't have to pay for new part trees when I get it wrong as I learn.... Maybe not a tip that translates to real life, but I still love it, cheers!
