No. It's an option. It's called dead zone. Try 7% on 12 mod. 5% is standard. In control options, click tab at bottom that says customise. Look for Dead Zone , increase to 8% to start. Increase a little bit if necessary.

i have done this and still nothing has worked for me...
can anyone tell me what im either doing wrong or not trying??
use one of the posted setups. Start with something easy like an electric car. 1/10 nitro is quite challenging I found out...and still I an 4 seconds behind best lap times. You may also want to have a good look at the tips in the chassis setup screen. Or if you drive on real tracks as well use the setup booklet or generic tips from your supplier. What will help to get you going is : stiff ARB front, soft ARB rear; low friction diff rear, solid axle front

set "dual rate" if you have that feature on your transmitter to 65% and exponential steering in your TX or in the game to at least -50%. Took me some time as well to find out..
