My first good MOD run on this track.

I need tips on how to decrease the MASSIVE understeer I'm experiencing on both stock and mod.

Hi guys. In VRC I'm not modelling the effects of camber yet, unfortunately. This is why you're able to run positive camber and it doesn't mess up the car the way it would in reality. Perhaps some time in the future I can rewrite the tire model to include this and other effects. Not now though. Need to do the buggies...

Maybe that is why the camber is set at +3.5? Edited by author: 2.3.2013 6:42:33 GMT

I dont get that. It is completw gibberish to me... HOW ON EARTH IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO DRIVE WITH POSITIVE CAMBER OR LIKE THE GUIDE SAYS, -3,25 CAMBER O___O I have never used anything other than between -0,4 and -1,2 degrees in real life. Also if I tried, the car would be completely undrivable.

Does the game and AE calculate camber in some weird way? I just put my car ready to race (without body shell), and measure the camber with a gauge ( custom made plastic plate with 0.75, 1.0 and 1.25 degree angles on the sides).

If I've really ran with one of the things you should never ever do to your car... Well... Darn.. >.<

I also, have always known positive to be \ /
and negative to be / \

so u are correct,I was only comparing the 3 setups as I saw them, not that I know anything, heheh. Not sure why it seems backwards, but now I'm confused also, lol.

just did some experimenting with Helge's setup. Adjusted the upper arm lenth to have the -0.7 camber. The car definitely felt better, and less understeer with the +3.5 camber. How odd, hopefully someone can put some reasoning to this.

Posted by: Josh Vulte (US) on 1.3.2013 12:36:54 (UTC) looking at both setups u have -0.8 and -1.5 camber, checking out one of Helge's setups, he is running +3.5 that should definitely feel better! Let us know how that works out for you!!! :)

Positive camber is most definately a Bad Thing(TM). But now that I see Helge runs +3.5 I am completely confused...

In the game -0.5 means that the tires are slightly / \ or \ /?

Because in real life negative camber means that the tires are / \.

If I've realy ran with one of the things you should never ever do to your car... Well... Darn.. >.<
